Garching and Munich for a BinaMicS meeting

Some of the BinaMicS group.

We met at ESO headquarters in Garching

Which is right next to the Max-Planck_institut fur Quantenoptik

And in some beautiful countryside; there's a heron hiding in the middle of this photo

The local subway station is science-themed

And there's a retro-futuristic weather tower nearby

You pass the soccer stadium on the s-bahn ride from Munich

I liked the color scheme of this Munich subway station

It's overall look seemed a good match for the Lenbachhaus Museum, which Gregg and Vero visited with me

The permanent Blue Rider exhibit on the top floor gallery was quite impressive

There are more contemporary galleries too

Gregg, Rich, and I visited the science and technology museum

We had a group dinner at a traditional Bavarian restaurant

And a weisswurst breakfast with Rivi the next morning
